I originally went to Christine with the sensation that work was overwhelming me and I was unhappy with my responses to criticism from my boss. I wanted confidence to try for another job. We started with the issue of confidence and I slowly started to stop panicking and I became more effective at my job. Bit by bit my confidence improved and I did not take on board un warranted jibes or fears about my performance. I also learned to look at other people as just like me, no better or worse. My confidence increased enough for me to re-establish my part in the team and I am still building a solid career by facing things squarely and having the confidence to deal with them. An unexpected by product of my growing confidence was taking a trip overseas by myself and a stress free plane trip. No one believed I would get on a plane without sedation, or a big push from behind.
